Christmas Mantel 2022
Christmas Mantel 2022
Here is a quick look at my Christmas mantel for 2022 and how I gave it a fresh look once again with just a few new pieces. If you want links to the items I added last year, you can check them out here on my Christmas Mantel blog post from last year.
My New Bells!
The first big change for this year is the addition of these awesome oversized brass bells. I found and ordered them on Amazon. They came in a set of three and were around $30. I ended up not using the largest one on the mantel but, no worries, it looks just as great sitting on top of my media cabinet. I surrounded it with some extra bottle brush trees.
One New Piece Of Christmas Greenery
This year instead of placing my greenery on top of the mantel, I decided to swag it down over the front. I secured it in place with some simple command hooks. In order to thicken it up a bit I found this extra piece of real touch pine garland on Amazon. It was around $25. For the price point I thought it was worth the risk, and I can honestly say I am not disappointed. It blended in well and compared to the prices I have seen elsewhere I think it was a steal!
Battery Operated Candles
I purchased these battery operated candles from HomeGoods back in the summer for my mantel. I decided to keep them up and incorporate them into my bottle brush trees from last year. They have the switch options for on and off on the bottom, but what I really like is the extra added option of a daily timer. You can set the timer switch on at the time of day you want them to light up and they will run for 6 or 8 hours. After that, they turn off automatically, and come back on the next day at the same time. Here are some I found on Amazon that are similar.
More Christmas Ribbon
Though not new this year, I decided to order another roll of my favorite ribbon from Amazon. I added this beautiful antique gold ribbon last year. I needed some extra ribbon to add a great big bow to the brass bells that I hung in the center of the mantel. It is definitely one of my favorite parts of the whole look!
Christmas Mantels Of The Past
Just as a reminder, here is a quick look back at the last 3 years and the evolution of our Christmas fireplace mantel. As you can see, it only takes a few little changes to make a big impact. With a little imagination and creativity you can completely transform your look without spending a lot of money each year! I hope you can use some of my tips, and, as always, thanks for stopping by.
