My Half Bath Refresh Completed

My half bath refresh is finally complete! Check out what we did to the back wall and everything we used for this project.

The Walls

For the walls we decided to use white coastal style wooden planks from Menards. Here are some that are similar, if not the same style. They are not shiplap so they are not interlocking. They were very easy to work with and we just nailed them into place with brad nails.

The Vanity

I have to admit the vanity is probably my favorite piece of this whole half bath refresh. It was a little pricey for me but so worth the investment. We found it on Wayfair and had it delivered without any problems. I was actually very impressed with the packaging! Here is a link to what I think is the exact one we purchased- we bought Natural Oak. It even has soft close doors and a soft close drawer.

The Mirror and Faucet

For the mirror and faucet we went with Amazon products. Here is a link to something similar to our mirror on Amazon- I really like the rounded corners and the matte black finish. Now, for the faucet, I knew I wanted a waterfall style spout and found a nice set for a fraction of the cost on Amazon. What I now realize is that you truly do get what you pay for. The faucet and handles are holding up great but the black drain in the bottom of the sink is already starting to peel away and show the silver underneath. With that being said, I do recommend going with a name brand.

The Back Wall Paint and Shelves

For the back wall I was so nervous to paint the newly installed wood planks, but I knew I wanted to go dark on the upper half. Really dark! I actually put it off for a long time out of fear, but I finally decided to be bold and to just go for it. I am so glad that I did. We used Behr paint from Home Depot in the color Cracked Pepper. If you read my posts you will recognize that color from my most popular refresh in my home- our fireplace. Here is where you can read all about that one!

For the floating shelves I found this beautiful set at Lowes. They are currently out of stock but they are worth the wait. They come in a set of three. We used the two smaller ones in the bathroom and the larger one you will see soon when I update our kitchen progress!

Décor Items

Most of my décor for this half bath refresh came from Target. Here is a quick rundown on the pieces I used and any links available.

For the shelving I purchased some Hearth and Hand hand towels to hang by the sink and to also roll up and place on the shelf above the toilet. Here are the ones currently available online and in stores. I also purchased my brass watering can and plant spritzer there. Here is a link to the watering can, and here is a link to a mister that is very similar to mine. My faux plants are from Target as well. Here is a link to a similar snake plant, and here is the little boxwood faux plant from the bathroom sink.

This is a link to the black metal wire basket on the bottom shelf. I do believe mine is the size medium. The black and white picture hanging on the wall is from Walmart many many years ago, so I would say it is no longer available. Here is a small frosted tray similar to mine, and finally here is a link to the soap dispenser from, you guessed it, Hearth and Hand. I am a huge Joanna Gaines fan!

Conclusion

So there you have it! My full half bath makeover. We still have a few small details to finish up- did you spot the missing switch plate cover? BUT I am super happy with the way things are looking so far. Check out my Instagram page for a quick video of the whole room. Thanks so much for following along, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
